Day 1

TANA-ANDASIBE

Departure from your hotel at 8 a.m., heading for the east of Madagascar. On the way, you'll encounter a world of peasant life, rice paddies, the typical view of the highlands and the Mandraka primary forest, hills and valleys decorating the landscape. free lunch as you pass through Moramanga, a historic town left behind by colonization. Arrival at Andasibe: a village surrounded by tropical rainforest, the area's forest still preserves the region's primitive biodiversity. The sound of nature will surprise you during your stay. Species of birds endemic to Madagascar:
Terpsiphone mutata, échenilleur malgache, vanga de crossley, Newtonia amphichroa...

Day 2

ANADASIBE

A VERY EARLY breakfast. The other part of the National Park awaits us for another exploration of the famous Prévost's Euryceros prevostii and Bernier's Oriole Oriola Bernie, rarely seen and little-known species. The tour will take you through the dense forest to explore the lives of these species, not forgetting other species common to Madagascar but endemic to the island: the black bulbul "Hypsipites madagascriensis", the lesser and greater erodes, the Madagascan wagtail "Motacilla flaviventris" and plants endemic to Madagascar. It is then possible to meet Madagascar's largest lemur "indri", others such as the Diadem's sifaka, the small bamboo eater etc... the pollen vanga etc... Chameleon, and some endemic orchid species of Madagascar. Lunch at noon

Day 3

ANDASIBE-AMBOSITRA

Early departure from the hotel, then on to the south of Madagascar.
Lunch at leisure in Behenjy, where you can sample Madagascar foie gras. Passage to the town of Ambatolampy, famous for its aluminum cooking pots. Arrival in Antsirabe, a town of water and thermal springs developed by Norwegian missionaries, now Madagascar's second-largest industrial city, as evidenced by its superb large modern houses. The journey continues to the capital of Malagasy craftsmanship. Visit the woodcarving and marquetry workshops of Ambositra.

Day 4

AMBOSITRA-RANOMAFANA-AMBODITANIMENA

With an early start at 6am, the road takes us through Betsileo tribal landscapes. Crossing highland landscapes, between terraced rice fields and terracotta houses. Free picnic lunch before reaching Ranomafana. A visit to the Amboditanimena forest; a place rich in ducks such as Dendrocygna viduatta, and Dendrocygna bicolor, yet the dwarf anser "Nettapus auritus" and the white-backed duck "Thallasornis leuconotis" are found in the swampy part of this forest. The red-billed duck "Anas melleri" is endemic to Madagascar: present on the high plateau and declining throughout its range, with an estimated population of 2,000-5,000 individuals, it is close to extinction if not extinct. "Dromaceurcus brunneus" and "Amphilais seebohmi" are endemic but uncommon, with a high-pitched, melodious sound, as is the "Gallinago macrodactyla".

Day 5

VOHIPARARA-TALATAKELY

Departure from the hotel at 4:30 a.m. for a 4-hour hike through the tropical rainforest. Vohiparara's magnificent, lush vegetation: Crypticolasilvicola randrianasoloi, Rallus madagascriensis, Saronthrura insularis et watersii, Treron australis and Alectronenas madagascriensis.
And in Talatakely, there's plenty of room for coua caerelea, coua reynaudii, Kanuralus kioloides, Coracopsi vasa et nigra, Corythornis madagascriensis, brachypterolles: Brachypteracias squamiger, B.leptosomus, B pittoides, Attelornis crossleyi.
Possibility of seeing lemurs such as Eulemur rufus, golden hapalemur, Mylne Edouard's sifaka and endemic reptile and bird species, as well as numerous medicinal plants. After the hike, relax at the thermal baths, where you can swim in the Ranomafana thermal pool or have a massage with essential oils.

Day 6

RANOMAFANA-ISALO

After breakfast, drive to Ambala Vao.
On Ambala Vao, visit the workshops: Ante moro paper making and wild silk weaving, possibility to visit the large open-air market of Ambala Vao and the second largest zebu market (only on Wednesdays). After these visits, the road south to Ranohira takes on an air of solitude, with granite monoliths and sparse vegetation. Past the town of Ihosy, the vast Ihorombe plateau leads to the famous Isalo massif at the end.

Day 7

ISALO

The walk gets off to an easy start, crossing a plateau that looks like an African savannah. Then begins the descent to the bottom of a steep valley on a well-groomed path with steps for the safety of less adventurous "other" tourists. At the end of the valley flows the Namaza, where a pleasant forest protects from the sun and is home to some rather shy birds, such as the Madagascar Turnix and Benson's Rock Robin. Continue upstream for around 30 minutes, arriving at the sumptuous Cascade des Nymphes and its cool, inviting waters, in a dark setting where the sun never pierces the limpid waters. Visit the Isalo natural swimming pool, where you can swim.

Day 8

RANOHIRA-VOHIBASIA-IFATY

Departure for the deep south of Madagascar. On the way : the city of sapphire, visit to the tropical dry forest of Vohibasia, possibility of meeting the dancing lemur, and nocturnal species like the Lepilemur sp and certain birds like the coua de vérreaux, "Coua cristata, Coua ruficeps, Calicalicus, Cyanolanus madagascarinus, Newtonia achroboldi and sometimes the white-browed owl "Ninox supercilliaris" will surprise us under a tree trunk. The baobabs and Mahafaly tombs will decorate the national park before we return to Tuléar. Departure for Ifaty after free lunch in Tuléar.

Day 9

IFATY

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we set off for the Ifaty dry forest. This is home to some very rare bird species, such as the Bensh's Monias "Monias benschi" "Uratelornis chiamara" or long-tailed brachypterelle, and the coua coureur or coua curseur, which makes its noise and speed through the scrub.

Day 10

IFATY-ANAKAO

Early departure from the hotel in Ifaty to reach the pier in Tuléar. Cross the sea by speedboat to reach the village, after settling in at the hotel. Lunch at leisure. Afternoon free.

Day 11

NOSYVE

Early departure from the hotel in Ifaty to reach the pier in Tuléar. Cross the sea by speedboat to reach the village, after settling in at the hotel. Departure by pirogue to visit Nosy Ve, an island with a high concentration of seabirds, and see those nesting on the neighboring island, such as the barau petrel "Pterodroma baraui" and the Pacific shearwater "Puffinus pacificus". Ocean birds: Fregatta tropica, F.grallaria. Freshly caught seafood will be served by the piroguers for the midday picnic, especially the tail peacock or Phaeton lepturus, P.rubricauda..... But all this doesn't stop us from snorkelling to admire the marine species.

Day 12

ANAKAO - LAC TSIMANAPETSOTSA

Transfer by 4*4 to Lake Tsimanapetsotsa after breakfast, a sandy track leads us into the park. Verry coua surprise us on the way, it's a species of flying coua beginning to disappear, yet the giant coua rarely crosses our path and makes great confusion with the cockroach coua, the park obviously is the suitable place for coua coureur; AND at the end of the visit, we don't miss the passage to the large lake known as Tsimanapetsotsa: a brackish lake where pink flamingos and Lesser flamingos visit locally common in Madagascar.

ANAKAO-TULEAR-TANARIVE

Departure after breakfast for the town of Tuléar. Transfer to Tuléar airport for return flight to Tana.
